Philips PhotoFrames business wanted to add new functionality to the Online Store that would allow customers to customize their PhotoFrame gift by uploading their own photos, engraving the product, including a greeting card with personal message and shipping the PhotoFrame in a gift box. We worked closely with the client and engaged users to solve the key user experience issues: at what point in the process does the user add the customization features? What terminology best describes the features? How do we visualize the process and the features? How do we create a photo upload interface that is easy to use, but offers the right amount of features?
